Multilingual Chiropractors

Multilingual Chiropractors @ Lakeside Chiropractic French, Mandarin, Malay, Cantonese, Afrikaans or Chinese

Did you know here at Lakeside Chiropractic we not only provide a multimodal approach to our treatments, we are also Multilingual! Multilingual refers to the ability to be able to speak multiple languages, instead only the one primary language.

Dr. Linda Schiller is fluent in French and some Afrikaans and Dr. Kaitlyn Lau in Chinese, Mandarin & Cantonese. Being able to understand and communicate with patients from different backgrounds is an important aspect of the doctor patient relationship as it ensures that there are no barriers throughout the consultation. Communicating in your performed language allows patients to feel comfort throughout the treatment and bring them at ease. It also allows patients to acknowledge exactly what the issue is, as sometimes speaking in your non performed language can often be conflicting and certain words can get mixed up. This may lead to a wrong explanation of your injury and can result in a wrong diagnosis being formed which may worsen your pain.

Providing as much information as possible when presenting to the clinic allows the doctor to properly account for your situation and ensure that you’re given the most efficient treatment for a speedy recovery. So if you speak either French, Mandarin, Malay, Cantonese, Afrikaans or Chinese and you prefer to speak in one of these languages, Lakeside Chiropractic is perfect for you!
