Can I See a Chiropractor using My NDIS?

At Lakeside Chiropractic we see countless people who use their NDIS to see a chiropractor for a range of different musculo-skeletal and neurological complaints and conditions - such as low back pain, neck pain, headaches, sciatic and much more. Our NDIS patients can range from all ages young to old, male and female with various conditions like Alzheimer’s, autism, stroke, hearing or visual impairment and so on. These conditions commonly start to impact their mobility and quality of life, which allows Chiropractic treatment to step in and help reduce the pain caused from these conditions, improve their function and quality of life.

Can I see a Chiropractor under NDIS at Lakeside Chiropractic?

1. Plan Managed – YES

Every participant has the right to seek help from a Plan Manager. The funds for a Plan Manager will not take away any funding off your plan. Your Plan Manager will act like a financial intermediary support between you and the NDIA. Your Plan Manager will pay for all the services and support that you have selected.

With the help of a Plan Manager you:

• Will not be limited to using only NDIS Registered providers.
• Will have the freedom and flexibility to choose and organise your own providers, even NDIS unregistered providers.
• Will need to stick to the NDIS price guide as services cannot be paid at a higher rate.

     2. Self-Managed – YES

If you choose to self manage your plan, you will be able to select and pay for services and receive funding straight from the NDIA. This means you will be:

•  Not limited to using only NDIS Registered providers.
•  Not tied to the NDIS fee schedule and pay for any services whatever their fees are.
• Have the freedom and flexibility to choose and organise your own providers, even NDIS unregistered providers.

    3. NDIA Managed – NO (not at this stage).

What treatments can you provide at Lakeside Chiropractic for NDIS patients?

Over at Lakeside Chiropractic we provide a wide range of different treatment modalities in the clinic, which are tailored to each NDIS individual accordingly to their complaints. These modalities include but are not limited to interferential electrotherapy, dry needling, cold laser therapy, kinesio taping, soft tissue therapy, spinal manipulation through manual and instrument assisted adjustments (activator), flexion distraction and take-home rehabilitation exercises. For our senior NDIS patients, we aim to provide gentle treatments by applying low force joint mobilisaitions or light instrument adjusting as it is more appropriate for health reasons or patient preference.

Does NDIS cover the FULL cost of Chiropractic Treatment?

Yes, Plan-Managed and Self-Managed NDIS plans are fully covered with no gap payments required.
