About Lakeside Chiropractic Joondalup

Learning about your body is the key
Our goal is to heal you and reduce your need for treatments; we want you to look and feel great and to learn about your body.

It’s not about quick fixes
The treatment programmes vary in frequency and intensity and are tailored to the patient and their needs. This method applies whether it is a recovery from an injury or chronic condition. You should not expect dramatic cures, as with any other forms of damage to the body, both time and healing are required.

It’s also up to you
Patients really can take control of their body and learn what it needs to function better and stay mobile into old age. Our role is to stay positive and be a motivating force in our life as we take you through the recovery phase.

What is Chiropractic?
It is the third largest health profession in the western world following medicine and dentistry, with chiropractic professional education being on a par with Medical education.

Chiropractors treat the cause, not the symptoms
Chiropractors are experts in the diagnosis and treatment of conditions caused by mechanical dysfunction of the joints and their effects on the nervous system. Nerve interference, in particular, can affect the body’s ability to function properly, with the most common complaints from improper joint function being: back and neck pain; headaches and migraines; elbow pain; repetitive strain injuries; whiplash; hip pain; knee and foot problems.

Hands on healing
Chiropractors use their hands to adjust the joints of your spine and limbs, improving mobility, relieving pain and restoring function.
Evolution hasn’t kept pace with modern life
Anxiety and work stress can play havoc with the body’s many different systems and chiropractic assessment can identify many potentially life threatening conditions.

Who goes to a Chiropractor?
Treatment is suitable for everyone, including newborn babies, the elderly, pregnant women and sports enthusiasts.

Why wait for symptoms?
People are increasingly visiting chiropractors for spinal checkups and we believe this is a positive healthcare trend, because of the benefits of early diagnosis.

What sort of treatment programme can I expect?
Treatment can involve specific manipulations, soft tissue techniques, blocking, exercises, electrotherapy, stretching, acupuncture and postural advice. Our experienced chiropractors will treat you upon your first visit. They use multiple modalities including IFC, Therapeutic Ultrasound, taping in addition to the standard Chiropractic Manipulative Therapy. You will be explained fully the cause of your symptoms and the best course of action to follow.

What is the difference between Chiropractic, Osteopathy and Physiotherapy?
There are differences in technique and approach, as well as similarities. The important factor is that the practitioner is well qualified. We are registered with AHPRA.

At Lakeside Chiropractic Clinic we believe the way to provide the best care is to work in partnership with our patients. We consider ourselves care partners. We provide value for money by giving longer treatments than most chiropractors. Our appointments last for 20-30minutes. The clinic is easy to find on the main street of Joondalup, Central walk, 6027
